The Elders at Kampala Baptist Church serve as shepherds and spiritual overseers of our church family. Rooted in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1–7; 1 Peter 5:1–4), they provide direction, care, and encouragement, helping us grow in faith and remain centered on Christ.

Their key roles include:

1. Shepherding the flock through discipleship, bible study, prayer, care, fellowship and encouraging each member to evangelise and be light wherever they find themselves at any one time.
2. The elders emphasise the teaching and guarding of sound doctrine from God’s Word.
3. Providing oversight and guide the church’s vision.
4. Keeping each other accountable to practice the way to be able to Model Christlike living in order to be examples to the congregation.
